Agro Keramzit 8 16 mm 5 l

Charakteristika a vlastnosti

AGRO Keramzit 8–16 mm 5 l je lehký minerální materiál vyráběný vypalováním jílu při vysoké teplotě. Jednotlivé granule mají pevný keramický povrch a porézní vnitřní strukturu, díky níž se keramzit uplatňuje jako drenážní, provzdušňovací i dekorativní složka při pěstování rostlin.

Frakce 8–16 mm je vhodná především pro vytváření drenážních vrstev v květináčích, truhlících a dalších pěstebních nádobách. Pomáhá vytvořit volnější prostor pro odtok přebytečné vody, nenahrazuje však funkční odtokové otvory ani správně zvolený pěstební substrát.

Způsob použití

Při výsadbě nasypte keramzit na dno nádoby s funkčními odtokovými otvory a následně jej překryjte vhodným pěstebním substrátem. Podle konstrukce nádoby lze mezi keramzit a substrát vložit propustnou separační vrstvu, která omezí postupné zanášení mezer jemnými částicemi zeminy.

Keramzit lze také v přiměřeném podílu promíchat se substrátem nebo použít jako dekorativní povrchovou vrstvu. Před použitím jej lze opláchnout, aby se odstranila část jemného minerálního prachu vzniklého při přepravě a manipulaci.

Dávkování a množství

Jako drenážní vrstva se obvykle používá přibližně 3–6 cm podle velikosti a hloubky nádoby. U malých květináčů postačí nižší vrstva, zatímco hlubší nádoby a truhlíky umožňují použití vrstvy silnější.

Při přimíchávání do substrátu nelze stanovit jednu univerzální dávku. Podíl keramzitu je nutné přizpůsobit velikosti nádoby, požadavkům rostliny, vlastnostem základního substrátu a způsobu zavlažování. Jeden obal o objemu 5 l vytvoří přibližně 5 cm vysokou vrstvu na ploše 0,1 m².

Výhody použití

Keramzit vytváří mezi granulemi vzdušné mezery, které mohou podpořit odvod přebytečné vody a omezit přímý kontakt spodní části substrátu se stojící vodou. Vhodné použití tak pomáhá snižovat riziko dlouhodobého zamokření kořenové zóny.

Materiál je lehký, minerální, tvarově poměrně stálý a biologicky se nerozkládá. Při použití na povrchu nádoby zakrývá substrát, omezuje jeho rozstřikování při zálivce a vytváří čistý dekorativní vzhled.

Vhodné použití v zahradě

Keramzit je vhodný pro pokojové rostliny, balkonové truhlíky, venkovní květináče, samozavlažovací nádoby, mobilní zeleň i menší pěstební nádoby. Uplatní se zejména u rostlin, které nesnášejí dlouhodobě zamokřený substrát, pokud je současně zajištěn správný odtok vody.

Použít jej lze také jako součást pěstebních směsí, při hydroponickém nebo semihydroponickém pěstování a jako dekorativní minerální zásyp. Frakce 8–16 mm je méně vhodná pro jemné výsevní směsi a malé množárenské nádoby, kde mohou být jednotlivé granule příliš velké.

Vlastnosti materiálu a životnost

Keramzit vzniká tepelným zpracováním jílu, při kterém se vytvářejí lehké porézní granule s pevnějším povrchem. Jednotlivé částice mají nepravidelný až přibližně kulovitý tvar a jejich odstín, velikost i množství jemných částic se mohou v rámci deklarované frakce mírně lišit.

Materiál nepodléhá biologickému rozkladu a při běžném zahradnickém použití si dlouhodobě zachovává základní strukturu. Při opakované manipulaci se však mohou granule mechanicky poškodit, rozdrtit nebo zanést kořeny, solemi a jemnými částicemi substrátu.

Správné použití a údržba

Drenážní vrstva je účinná pouze v nádobě, ze které může přebytečná voda skutečně odtékat. Keramzit proto nepoužívejte jako náhradu odtokových otvorů a nenechávejte nádobu dlouhodobě stát ve vodě, pokud to neodpovídá zvolenému pěstebnímu systému.

Při opakovaném použití odstraňte z granulí zbytky substrátu a kořenů, materiál důkladně propláchněte a zkontrolujte jeho stav. Keramzit z nemocných nebo škůdci napadených výsadeb znovu používejte pouze po vhodném vyčištění a podle míry kontaminace.
